A calmer way to follow culture

CelebTea is an entertainment publication for people who love film, television, music and style and want to understand them a little better. We are a culture desk, not a rumor mill. Where a lot of celebrity coverage chases the next unverified claim, we spend our time on the things that stay true: how the industry works, where its traditions come from, and how to enjoy it without getting played.

What we publish

Our work falls into a few simple buckets. Explainers break down how something actually works — award voting, box office math, the streaming release model. Guides are practical and evergreen, like how to follow a tour without overspending. Opinion pieces make an argument and own it. And the occasional history traces how a part of the culture got to be the way it is.

Our one firm rule

We do not invent news. You will not find made-up quotes, manufactured scandals, claims about anyone’s private life or health, or speculation dressed up as reporting. If we cannot stand behind something as fact or clearly label it as our opinion, we do not publish it. That rule costs us some easy clicks. We think it is worth it.

Who writes it

Our articles are published under the byline CelebTea Editors. We are a small team that prefers to let the work speak for itself rather than build a cult of personality around individual writers. Editorial decisions are made collectively, and every piece is reviewed before it goes out.

How we pay the bills

Independent publishing costs money, and we are upfront about how ours is funded. You can read the details on our advertising disclosure page. The short version: advertising never buys coverage, and our opinions are our own.
